The MSI X-Slim X340 thin-and-light 13.4-inch laptop with Intel’s new energy efficient platform is coming soon, according to PC maker’s website. The listed models are the X340-023US in white and the black X340-021US, both currently out of stock at msimobile.com. The notebooks come with the Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULV chip (1.4GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), 2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. The MSI X-Slim X340-023US and X340-021US are priced at $1.099.
The IdeaPad Y450 is a smaller sibling of the Y650 and the upcoming Y550. The new laptop features Intel’s Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor, GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics or the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M 256MB dedicated video card, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive space, a DVD burner, 802.11n WiFi, and a Bluetooth module in one of the offered models. MSI has announced the Wind U100 Plus 10-inch netbook, which is an updated version of the standard U100.
The MSI Wind U100 Plus includes the Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor instead of the Atom N270 1.6GHz in the older U100, support for up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive with Windows XP Home preloaded, the GMA 950 integrated graphics, and a 3- or 6-cell battery.
